Fifth session

The fifth session was held just before Christmas. We had some difficulties to gather the necessary 6 bottles. Probably this is because at the end of the year, producersare extremely busy. Once again, Master of Malt participated (for the fourth time)with a bottle. The Ardmore distillery also did us the honor to take part in WDTS with two bottles. The Italian bottler Wilson & Morgan sent us two bottles and finally, the sixth has been provided by Aad van Zuylen on behalf of Meadowside, a bottler that has not heard the last, which is imported by Van Zuylen in the Netherlands.

  1. Ardmore, traditional cask
  2. Bunnahabhain heavy peat, Wilson & Morgan
  3. Dailuaine 1983, Master of Malt
  4. Undisclosed Islay distillery, Malt House, Wilson & Morgan
  5. Macduff 23 years, Meadowside
  6. Ardmore, 100th Anniversary

This session, which was a little wait was attended by 18 tasters. Remarkably for this session, the difference between the various points of bottles was extremely low. The best rating was of 85.22 for the Dailuaine bottle while coming up the rear (as surprising as it may seem, the 100th Anniversary Ardmore) has collected 82.28

Each bottle is listed separately on this blog, with the highest score and the lowestobtained. For details of all the tasting notes, please go to the relevant page of the site.
